Floors in multi-space garage, malls, multi-family buildings and office buildings.01

Concrete floor in multi-space garage is exposed to many harmful factors related to a great number of vehicles, which must enter and leave the garage - often at high frequency. Vehicles mechanically damage the floor due to wearing (especially along communication paths), but also bring a lot of water on their tyres which during winter contains chemical substances used to defrost the roads, which fact accelerates concrete deterioration. Vehicles themselves are the source of chemical compounds, starting with petrol, Diesel oil, hydraulic oil, sulphuric acid (battery), engine oil, brake fluid and many more, which in case of defect can easily penetrate the floor and damage it.

That is why epoxy or polyurethane resins are highly recommended in such places in order to protect the floor against harmful impact of vehicles on the concrete, at the same time improving aesthetics of a garage, facilitating its cleaning, allowing for various colours to be used to better separate communication and parking zones, improving the grip, especially on entries / exits.

Floors in small garages, boiler rooms, utility rooms.02

At such places, epoxy or polyurethane floors are used mostly due to practical reasons. These locations, as backup facilities of our apartments, are used as workshops, places to store logs, stock of food and warehouses for things which do not fit in the apartment or are not needed any more, and thanks to resin finish of the floor, these rooms are easy to keep clean, do not release dust and improve aesthetics.

Floors in warehouses, workshops, production plants.03

Floor concrete at such locations must carry high loads due to their nature, first and foremost forklift and pallet trucks used to frequently handle and transport various materials, which crush the floor with small, highly loaded wheels. These places are used to manufacture and store chemical substances which adversely affect the floor concrete, leading to its corrosion.

That is why epoxy or polyurethane concrete floors are perfect solutions, providing high mechanical and chemical strength. The most common system used in such objects is epoxy floor, so called "stone carpet", which is applied by trowelling. It combines the benefits of quartz as a filler (very high mechanical strength) and epoxy as a binder (tightness, flexibility, chemical resistance).

Anti-electrostatic discharge floors(transformer stations, server rooms, varnishing plants, electronic devices plants, explosion hazard zones, ESD zones)04

This type of epoxy and polyurethane floors is designed for one purpose, namely to eliminate negative effects of static electricity. It is around us, but does not bother us (unless we take off Chinese clothing), however at some specific locations, it can pose significant hazard, e.g. explosion of vapours or dust at proper concentration of mix in the air, during manufacture of electronic devices, where EDS cause damage to sensitive integrated circuits and great losses.

This type of floor can safely discharge static electricity from our clothing through the floor to grounding.

Floors in medical objects, laboratories, education facilities.05

These objects require higher cleanliness standards, as they can pose higher pathogenic hazards due to microbes and germs (hospitals and medical centres), some laboratories require sterility, because contamination may affect research results.

Epoxy or polyurethane resin floor satisfy these requirements, because they are seamless and easy to clean, whereas joints and any other nooks, which are difficult to keep clean are perfect place for dirt, germs and micro-organisms. These floors can be used in so called "clean rooms", locations of the highest cleanliness standards.

Floors in social rooms (lavatories, cloakrooms).06

A lot of water and people lead to fast contamination of floor and these places must be cleaned even a few times a day. Resin floors facilitate the work, with less work they provide better results. All you need to do is mop it and thoroughly clean only every now and then.

Outdoor floors - engineering objects.07

These are flat roofs viaducts, bridges and trestle bridges with sidewalks and bicycle routes. Outdoor conditions represent extreme challenge in the construction industry and pose hazard to coating materials, which must protect concrete against harmful and destructive impact on its structure and durability.

Resins, mostly polyurethane and epoxy modified with polyurethane, satisfy this requirement, because they are flexible, effectively transfer stresses of the ground, mostly related to temperature expansion of construction elements as well as their behaviour under loads, temperature changes, from below freeze point in winter to high temperatures due to sun exposure. Resins used on such objects are commonly named insulation surfaces, i.e. they serve two functions - insulation, protecting concrete base against water and defrosting substances and wear course, which is mostly anti-slippery, in order to provide safety during winter.

Decorative floors.08

Investors and architects continuously look for new materials and technologies to implement their designs, to emphasize and differentiate their projects from many others, they provide them with special character and raise prestige of such location.

Polyurethane and epoxy resin floors provide option to use many different colours of various shine and texture. They can be used to create unique forms, embed different objects in the floor, e.g. photos, fabrics, shells and stones, the only limitation is thickness of an object. Resins ideally fit to modern, minimalistic interiors, they are seamless, which fact improves decorative and aesthetic effect.

Resin floors in private apartments.09

This type of floor can be used on floor heating, it does not contribute to losses of heat. Polyurethanes are low-emission floors, i.e. they do not have adverse impact on us, their use is pleasing, they attenuate walking noise and touch with bare foot is not unpleasant as in case of ceramic, clinker and stoneware tiles.

Resin on walls.10

Where parameters of standard wall coatings are too low or unsuitable for a room, epoxy or polyurethane coatings can be applied. They provide better and more durable protection, e.g. in rooms endangered to humidity, chemical substances, they facilitate cleaning.

Balconies, terraces.11

It is a place where we can walk outside and breathe fresh air, invite guests for barbecue, dry the laundry and rest after work. Balcony or terrace first and foremost serves recreation function for householders. We all know how much trouble is to keep this kind of floor in good condition. Insulation and tiles detach from the base due to outdoor conditions - high and low temperatures, rainfall or snow.

Under such circumstances, special polyurethane resins resistant to external conditions, UV, temperature changes are the best solution. They create seamless insulation surface, protecting concrete base against adverse outdoor conditions, especially so called zero point, going from freezing to thawing of water. Freezing water expands in concrete pores leading to disintegration of its structure, that is why unprotected concrete deteriorates so fast, it is weak and fragile after a few winters.
